Part 6: Managing Items Like a Pro

Now that you have items in your collection, here are the power moves that separate casual users from the people who run Lootero like a business.

Everything happens from the three-dot menu ⋯ on any item (or on a whole collection).

Open the menu

Tap any item → tap the three dots in the top-right → here’s what every option does:

  1. Clone → the ultimate time-saver Got 10 identical coins, 5 same-year bottles, or 20 copies of the same comic? Clone once → change Quantity to 10 (or 20) → edit cost if needed → Save. Done in 8 seconds instead of adding 19 separate entries.
  2. Edit Normal editing – fix a typo, update condition after a new grading, etc.
  3. Toggle Public / Private Instantly hide or show in the global Feed.
  4. Set For Sale (or edit/remove the link)
    • Paste your eBay, Catawiki, Facebook Marketplace, or personal link.
    • A yellow “For Sale” banner appears on the Feed instantly.
    • Buyers click straight through – no middleman, no fees from Lootero.
  5. Remove (not Delete!) → this is gold Use this when you actually sell, trade, drink, or break the item.
    • Item disappears from your active collection and all totals.
    • It moves to the Removed tab (Collections → Removed) so you keep the full history forever.
    • Perfect for insurance records or “I want to buy another one later” reminders.
Later: open Removed → three dots → Restore → it pops back with one tap (just update quantity/cost again).
  6. Disable AI Value Already covered in Part 4 – forces Lootero to use only your personal estimate.
  7. Share Copies a short public link (e.g. looter.io/i/abcd1234) to your clipboard. Anyone with the link sees all the public info + full-size photos – perfect for Facebook groups, Discord, or texting a friend.
  8. Delete → nuclear option Gone forever. Use only if you added something by mistake.

Collection-level three-dot menu (even more power)

Open any collection → three dots → you now get two extra options:

  • Mass Make Public / Mass Make Private Instantly flip every item in this collection at once. Great when you finish a set and want to show off, or when you decide to go quiet.
  • Delete Collection Wipes the entire collection and everything inside (you’ll have to confirm twice).

Quick summary of the perfect real-world workflow

  1. Add item → set Public → enjoy likes and inspiration.
  2. Decide to sell → three dots → Set For Sale → paste link.
  3. Item sells → three dots → Remove → it disappears from totals but stays in history.
  4. Buyer pays → celebrate → repeat.

That’s it. These eight menu options are literally 95 % of daily Lootero life for serious collectors.
